What is Internet?

Internet a global computer network providing a variety of information and communication facilities, consisting of interconnected networks using standardized communication protocols. Denoting a computer network connecting two or more  smaller networks called Internet.

In Easy Words - Connecting a computer or device to another one, anywhere in the world through the medium of dedicated routers and servers.

The Internet is the global system of interconnected computer networks that use the Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP) to link devices worldwide. The Internet is not synonymous with World Wide Web.

Who Invented Internet?

Robert Elliott Kahn and Vinton Gray Cerf are the real founders of internet, they discovered Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and the Internet Protocol (IP) TCP/IP. The Internet protocol suite provides end-to-end data communication specifying how data should be packetized, addressed, transmitted, routed and received. So, basically the process of communication between two routers is done by TCP/IP.

When Was Internet Invented?

The first version of this predecessor of modern TCP was written in 1973.

ARPANET adopted TCP/IP on January 1, 1983, and from their researchers began to assemble the “network of networks” that became the modern Internet.

The online world then took on a more recognizable form in 1990, when computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web.

What's the use of Internet?

The Internet has many uses including sending and receiving emails. The online chatting, video conferencing, and the transferring various files and documents. The Internet is also an open communication channel that allows individuals the option to apply for jobs, or shop for essential items.

Mainly, all the steps which we do on machine to communicate with another network is done by internet.

There are some top uses of internet which we can do, list of them are in following ways.

Education - for the purpose of study relating stuff, we can browse internet.

Research - we can also use internet for getting information about any topic or collecting materials related to our research topic.

Transaction - By internet, we can do financial transaction of money. We can send withdraw money by simply doing some steps.

Shopping & Blogging - we can also do blogging on internet to share our goods and services to others and shopping for consuming time and make a desicion between thousands of products.

Types of Internet -

  • Dial-Up (Analog 56K)

This type of internet is used for telephone communication purpose. This the way of make an audio communication link between two networks. In this, we dial a phone number to make a conventional phone call. The user's computer or router uses an attached modem to encode and decode information into and from audio frequency signals, respectively.

  • DSL

DSL stands for the Digital Subscriber Line.

It is an internet connection that is always “on”. This uses 2 lines so your phone is not tied up when your computer is connected. There is also no need to dial a phone number to connect. DSL uses a router to transport data and the range of connection speed, depending on the service offered, is between 128K to 8 Mbps.

  • Cable

Cable provides the Internet connection on the behalf of wired cable networks. It passes the range of network through wires over cable TV lines. Broadband is also a type of Cable Internet. Since the coax cable provides a much greater bandwidth over dial-up or DSL telephone lines, you can get faster access. Cable speeds range from 512K to 20 Mbps.

  • Wireless

Some wireless broadband and WiFi networks are not wired. They are free from the traps of wire we can use them free anywhere (a frequency range is given as the registered network). It also provide high-speed in communication or browsing, uploading, transferring of data and documents. Speeds will vary, and the range is between 5 Mbps to 20 Mbps.

This is the top growing internet connection in today's era.

  • Cellular

Now, we're talking about our mobile data, yes Cellular means the mobile operator data. Cellular technology provides wireless Internet access through cell phones. The speeds vary depending on the provider, but the most common are 3G and 4G speeds. A 3G is a term that describes a 3rd generation cellular network obtaining mobile speeds of around 2.0 Mbps. 4G is the fourth generation of cellular wireless standards. The goal of 4G is to achieve peak mobile speeds of 100 Mbps but the reality is about 21 Mbps currently.

Weight Of Internet -

Sounds weird? But it's true. we can calculate the weight of internet too. It has been estimated that the internet weight is near about the same weight as a medium-sized egg. The weight of all the electrons in motion that make up the internet at any one moment is equivalent to 50 grams, according to Vsauce, a YouTube channel. In 2011, the weight of Internet is 150 Gram's and the theory is that it would be double in next 5 Years.

Total Weight Of Internet is Just 327 Grams.

How did we Calculate the Internet Weight?

We don't have any weighing Scale machine. We just got the results by some mental ability, sense of humor and proper knowledge about the Internet Electrons.

All the internet data which we use or we have is in Binary Codes. These Binary Codes flow up with the help of Electrons. The transistor contains thousands of Electrons and every electron have some weight. Majorly we can't calculate each and every unit, so some scientists had invent a theory to checko the Internet Server electrons Weight. They got the result as 50 Grams in weight, then they calculated all the stuff on internet like mp3, movies, Videos and email. The result is in the property of 150 Grams of Weigh. Sounds stupid! But it's quite interesting and the true facts also. After every 5 years the weight of internet will be doubles, according to the theory.

In 2011, the weight of Internet is 150 Grams, and it's about 5 year's gap in the theory so now, the Weigh of Internet is 327 Grams.

Note - All of them are totally real and based on the deep research done by author itself, none of the above news and troll or prank. All of them are 100% original.
